Cosher Studios requests a 50% Deposit for sessions over R1000 in order to secure your booking. The balance to be paid on completion of the project and before you receive the final files.

*We only accept cash and EFT payments; we do not have card machine facilities on-site. 

Studio A, B and C offer professional recording quality and experience.

Studio A has a few permanent fixtures that increase the efficiency and processing power of the signal, such as a preamp and the Allen and Heath Qu 24 desk. Studio A is also slightly larger and can record multiple microphones at once, compared to Studio B, which can do 2 at most (in the booth), whilst Studio D can only accommodate 1.

Our producers are trained to assist with writing lyrics. If it is in assistance, we only ask for proportionate songwriting royalties at no extra charge. However, if you require us to write a full lyrical song from scratch, then we will charge additionally.

Cosher Studios doesn’t offer a stockpile of beats; we produce custom-made beats/backtracks for artists. Let us know what you want so we can make it specifically for you.

Cosher Studios mixes and masters tracks for our clients, regardless of whether they are recorded in our studio or elsewhere. We also respect that artists have their preferred engineers, and so after production, we can provide an unmastered mix down to be sent to your preferred mastering engineer.

Yes, they do, especially since most of these electronic sounds have come from real instrument recordings. Cosher Studios has access to and the ability to recreate very organic-sounding piano, strings, brass, bass, drums, electric guitar, and other instruments.

Software, along with our own expertise and understanding of how an instrument should sound, has made it possible to make drum machines and electronically produced drum sounds sound very authentic. Recording a live drum kit requires more microphones, studio space, and time. Hence, at Cosher Studios, we always recommend giving electronically produced drum sounds a chance, even if you want them to sound like a live kit.

For any cancellations or postponements, we request that you inform us a day in advance. If we don’t receive appropriate notice, we will have to charge you for the full session.
